25th December 2008 - Disneyland Paris

It was Christmas day and we got to spend our Christmas in Paris!! it was really really cool.

A day before, we bought a new Maclaren stroller to Amirah since her Graco stroller which we brought from Malaysia was broken. we were not sure how MAS handle this stroller during our flight but by the time we got to Rome, it was already broken. however, we managed to use the stroller until we got to Paris. It was quite upsetting to us to leave the Graco back in Paris since we had been using it ever since Amirah was born. However, it was a good excuse for us to buy a new one since the Graco stroller is super heavy compared to the Maclaren and despite that we were traveling at that time, having a lightweight stroller with so much luggage would help us a lot. moreover, some of the countries do not provide facilities for disable or strollers at their train station and we had to carry the stroller up and down the stairs to get into the train. so much for a developed countries, isn't it? huh!

back to our trip, Amirah, papa and mama planned to spend our Christmas holiday in Disneyland Paris. we took an early train to get to Marne-la-Vallee in the morning. it was really cold on that day, about 1-2 degree Celsius. since we gonna spend the whole day there, most of the time outdoor, mama and papa put amirah layers of cloth to keep her warm.

amirah was sleeping when we arrived at the Disneyland. it must be the cold weather that made her comfortable to sleep even longer than we expected. Disneyland Paris consist of 2 parks; the Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios Park. Our tickets were valid for both of the parks but we only managed to go to the Disneyland Park.

We watched the first show of Minney and friends near the Sleeping Beauty Castle when Amirah woke up when the shows almost reached the end. Of course she was quite excited to see one of her favorite characters when she opened her eyes.

Most of the rides that we went to were suitable for Amirah (ie: Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Its a Small World, Thundermesa Riverboat Tour). however, we did not manage to cover most of them as Amirah was not feeling well that day. she was purging heavily and with the weather getting colder and colder, that worried us so much. the worst part of her purging was when we were having our lunch buffet at the Agrabah Cafe. Mama had to rush Amirah to the restroom outside the restaurant to wash and clean her and changed her clothes. We bought extra clothes for her just in case she needed them. Even though, she did not cry, most of the time she slept because of the cold weather and still enjoyed some part of the Disneyland trip, we decided to went back earlier so that she could have some rest for the next days to come. we went back as soon as the Disney's Parade was over.

Overall of the Disneyland trip was okay. how we wished she was okay on that day so that she could enjoyed to her fullest. although we did not have so many rides (due to amirah was not feeling well and some other time she was sleeping), but we took lots of pictures there though.

Really look forward to bring Amirah to experience other Disneylands, maybe Tokyo or Hong Kong when she was older. insyallah kalau ada rezeki.. aminn

okay sambung lagi percutian papa, mama dan amirah...

we arrived at Paris Bercy Station in the morning. Then we went to the hotel located somewhere around Gare de Lyon. amirah macam jetlag sket.. early in the morning dah bangun. papa laa kena layan... mama pon macam still penat lagi. in the afternoon, we decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe to pick up our Paris Visit Pass. Since the Grevin Wax Museum was very close to the Hard Rock Cafe, we decided to pay a visit since we can use the pass. it was pretty quick since takut amirah termimpi mimpi pulak tgok the wax figures yang pelik pelik tuh....

tak jalan jalan sangat today because we decided to have a rest for the next day's event, DISNEYLAND!!

its been a while

its been a while since mama last updated this blog. busy enjoying out time here in Florence with papa around. well, 2 more weeks before we will be coming back to malaysia and facing the real world again.. sigh....

ok... mama got lots of things to tell to the world and to you, amirah so that you can always read this in the future....

our 2 months+ vacation is about to end in about 2 weeks and mama will start working again... i will miss playing and taking care of you for the whole 2 months. it had been such a wonderful experience to me and we got to know more of each other. you made lots of progress for the pass 2 months. mama and papa were really glad that we were around to witness your progress, amirah.. we think that this vacation had given you lots of experience seeing different places, mingling with lots of different people, experiencing the cold whether, etc..

ROME 23rd December 2008

mama and amirah arrived in Rome early in the morning on the 23rd December 2008. the flight which took us about 12 hours was really tiring. luckily, we were in the business class seat and the seat next to us was empty. so, amirah got the whole seat for herself to play around. mama took out all of her toys so that she would busy playing with her toys without giving much problem to other people. a few days before, mama kept reminding amirah that we would be flying to rome for quite sometimes and amirah really need to be a good girl. and indeed, she was in her best behavior and be a very good girl. mama is really proud of you, girl. the flight attendants also liked to stop by and said hi to her and sometimes helped mama to watched amirah when mama need to go to the bathroom. we arrived around 5+ am and papa was there waiting for us!



we really miss you papa. after lots of hugs and kisses, papa took us to the hotel for a rest before we went out for a sight seeing in Rome and depart to Paris that night with the Euronight Train. Note to everybody, if you have kids, dont ever ever ever take a Euronight train. it was so troublesome, and you got no space to breath!

Saturday: pak ngah nikah

Hello papa.

how are you? we are doing fine here. mama aje headache sket with the work punyer stuffs. baru masuk office on monday, dah macam macam prob dengan shipment.

anyway, alhamdulillah pak ngah selamat diijab kabulkan dengan mak ngah last saturday... hehehe... of course laa papa knew better since u dapat the best view, VIP seat lagik... tak aci tol... kitaorang yang datang pon tak dpt tgok clear sangat.... orang pakai baju melayu, papa pakai suit, nampak macam tok kadi no 2 pon ada... pas tuh muka very serious lak tu... amirah, as usual, being a very nice and good girl langsung tak meragam despite it was very hot that day... happy aje dia... dpt tgok byk budak budak lari lari...

the night before (jumaat mlm), amirah tak nak tido awal... dia tido lambat around 11.30pm.. sebuk amirah nak temankan mama dia touch up the hantaran.. waktu mama amirah sebuk nak susun buah buah dalam bakul, amirah pon sebuk laaa datang nak tolong... kenalah kasi dia testing buah tuh... SiDi pon tolong laa kupaskan grape and cherry for amirah... dia diam laa kejap... pas tuh dia datang kacau lagi, dia sempat songlap sebiji lemon and baling lemon tuh jauh jauh... mama amirah terpaksa laa pergi ambik lemon yang kena baling tu since nak letak dalam bakul hantaran... nasib baik ok lagi.... then SiTi suruh SiDi bawak amirah main kat luar while we settled the hantaran inside the room. amirah pon main kat luar ngan SiDi, pak ngah and wan nil (pak long). amirah dengan pak ngah dia, kalau dulu dia malu malu dengan pak ngah dia.. now dengan wan nil lak dia malu malu... kitaorang gelak tergolek golek bila tgok gaya dia malu malu ngan wan nil... anak mama ni mmg pantang tgok lelaki hensem laa... tak tahu laa dia ikut perangai sape ni.. hehe

after settled dengan hantaran, mama amirah went to help pak ngah pakaikan inai kat jari pak ngah... SiTi ngan SiDi pulak tolong tidokan amirah while mama helped pak ngah... pak ngah ok aje pakai inai... tak macam papa dulu.. ngelat ngelat nak pakai, ended up papa tak pakai pon inai time mama ngan papa kawin dulu... :P



after dah pakaikan inai, mama took amirah up to the room.. while she was sleeping, mama pakaikan amirah inai pulak... mama only managed to put the inai on 3 of her fingers.... suddenly, mama terpikir what if she wake up tomorrow and find out about her fingers and starts to cry? mama decided not to continue and went to sleep. Luckily when tomorrow she woke up and saw her fingers, she was okay and did not mind about it. even though comot sket inai tuh and for the facts that mama was so struggle to put on the inai, it was totally worth it when everyone was so pleased to see the inai on her fingers.

mak chak tried to take out a small piece of tissue from amirah's mouth. and amirah excitedly and cheekily bite her.

okay.. to be continued with the wedding reception on Sunday... we love u and miss u papa... counting days now!!... take care!

last 3 weeks, we went back to Pilah and paid a visit to Wan Chik and Tok Chik's house. Uncle Adam and Auntie Jasmin were not around due to the school holiday. amirah was really excited to see the chickens running around the house.
